DESCRIPTION:October is History Month\, so in conjunction with the Camden County Historical Alliance the Collings Knight House will be open for tours! The Alliance is highlighting various historical sights in the county throughout the month\, and we are excited to join the list! There will be board members on site to answer questions about the history of the house as well as provide information about the renovations we are doing. \nWe are excited to kick off our fall program with a chance to get to know aspects of the House both new and old\, and we hope to see you there! \nTickets are not needed\, but free-will donations are accepted. \nInterested in visiting other historical sites in the area? DESCRIPTION:Quoth the raven… \nThe Collings-Knight House is thrilled to present our fourth annual performance of “Tales from Poe\,” a hair-raising production featuring dramatic readings by student volunteers from local. Come see our talented cast as they bring to life several timeless\, spooky tales from the Master of the Macabre himself\, Edgar Allan Poe. \nThis production features a mix of indoor shows inside the Collings-Knight House’s historic parlors\, and outdoor shows presented on the House’s beautifully refurbished back porch. Indoor shows feature limited seating. Our outdoor shows will have some patio seating (first come first serve)\, as well as a good amount of BYOB(lanket) seating on the lawn. \n\nPerformances are: \nFriday\, October 24th at 6:00 (indoor)\, 7:30 (outdoor)\, and 9:00 pm (indoor). \nSaturday\, October 25th at 6:00 (indoor)\, 7:30pm (UNHINGED Show\, see below)\, and 9:00 pm (outdoor). \nDoors open 15 minutes before showtimes. \n*Tickets will be available both online at https://www.zeffy.com/en-US/ticketing/tales-from-poe-2?zlinkid=75074c50-9d02-4817-a45c-0255af498a4c and at the door (cash and PayPal).\n  * Unhinged Show tickets will have a separate link\, see below* \n\nUnhinged Show \nQuoth the Raven…ON THE FLOOR!!! \nThe timeless\, spooky tales of Edgar Allan Poe have met the scariest thing of all…teenagers! \nThis show is NOT for the Poe purists! Enter at your own risk… \nSilliness abounds in this somewhat interactive\, entirely unscripted shenanigans-fest! Come witness our seasoned  veteran performers revert to their natural forms; a rabid clutch of over-caffeinated theater kids passionately parodying Poe’s masterpieces\, lovingly lampooning these timeless texts\, throwing off their “respect the source material” fetters\, and going completely feral all over classical literature! If nothing else\, it’s bound to be fun! \nTHIS SHOW IS RATED T FOR TEEN. \nWe do not recommend this show for children under 14 years/8th grade. \nShow content may include: moderate swearing\, suggestive content\, even more violence than Poe already brought to the table (we do not use blood/gore\, but pantomiming is possible)\, and a possible intervention for Fortunato’s drinking problem \n*Tickets will be available both online at https://www.zeffy.com/en-US/ticketing/the-unhinged-show-poe-cast-unleashed and at the door (cash and PayPal). \n\n… Outdoor Weather Policy … \nIn the event of light rain\, outdoor shows will go on (tents will cover the patio\, but please bring an umbrella or poncho just in case). Severe weather may see these shows moved indoors\, at which time we will do our best to accommodate all guests. In the event that we have more guests than seats\, ticketholders present at the show will be offered the option of a ticket to a later show\, or a refund.
