DESCRIPTION:Saturday\, October 27\, 2018 • 1:oopm – 5:00 pm\nThis lecture will explore the myths\, legends\, and utter lies surrounding Poe’s career\, his personal life\, and his death. We will also attempt to answer the greatest question of all: why do we continue to believe the lies? \nSponsored by the Collings-Knight Homestead\, the lecture will be given by the writer/ producer/ director of the popular play “Shades of Poe”\, Patty Verzella. \nThe lecture is broken down into three portions\, and each portion will be approximately 30 minutes\, with a short break after each for questions\, refreshments\, and to explore our venue: the historic Collings-Knight Homestead. \nDue to limited seating\, please be sure to reserve your tickets in advance. If we have demand which exceeds our capacity\, we will open another time slot. \n***Tickets to this event are free for members of the Friends of the Collings-Knight House.
